The sludge is pulled between the press-band and the main drum and pressed out with a pressure of up to 7 bar. At the end of the (continuous) process, the fixed sludge is stripped by the scrapper falls there into a trash can.
A patent, fully automatic, electronically controlled tape operation correction prevents the Band from skewing.
